We are a vibrant and active community committed to the mission of Scouting America: to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

We serve elementary school age boys and girls in La Jolla, and surrounding communities across San Diego. Cub Scout programs serve K through 5th grades.

Scouting is all about fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life. Here at Pack 4, we build appreciation for the outdoors, community service, and personal growth in a supportive and engaging environment. Our activities are designed to foster a sense of camaraderie and instill life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and resilience.

We are family oriented and parent-led. Many of our events are open to the entire family. Parents are asked to volunteer and help out support our program throughout the year.

Among our annual calendar of events:

-Family camping trips to Lake Morena, Anza Borrego, Indian HIlls and William Heise…

-The famous Pinewood Derby as well as Model Rocketry and Fishing

-Carrying Flags and Banners at the La Jolla Holiday Parade and July 4th Parade

-Memorial Day flag-laying at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, and an annual beach clean up volunteer activity

-In addition, each grade level group is organized into Dens, which meet monthly and progress through a series of activities and achievements.

Our Pack meetings and Den meetings are normally at La Jolla Presbyterian Church, located in La Jolla village at 7715 Draper Ave. Our chartered organization is the Kiwanis Club of La Jolla.

Many of our Cub Scouts continue in Scouting through middle school and high school, by joining local Troops such as Troop 4 and Troop 506. Troop 506 offers programs for girls as well as boys. Many have gone on to earn the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout!!

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our pack, our activities, and what it means to be a Cub Scout. If you’re interested in joining us or want to learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re excited to welcome you to our Pack 4 family!
